Raising a generation that leads Israeli society forward.
This landing page is designed for overseas donors and strategic partners. It combines the movement’s story, impact narrative, and future-facing social vision into a clear two-tab experience inspired by modern nonprofit sites and adapted to the Scouts’ visual language.
The Hebrew Scouts Movement is Israel’s largest youth movement and one of the country’s most influential educational frameworks. For more than a century, it has shaped young people to lead with responsibility, resilience, and values.
The Hebrew Scouts Movement has been active since 1919, building a living network of leadership, volunteerism, and civic responsibility across Israeli society. More than 100,000 youth take part annually, not only learning about leadership but practicing it from a young age through real responsibility and peer-led action.
Its members reflect the full spectrum of Israeli society, spanning geographic, social, cultural, and religious diversity. The movement brings young people together around Jewish heritage, democratic principles, and a deep connection to Israel.
Beyond Israel, the movement is part of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and maintains strong ties with Jewish communities worldwide. Programs such as Garin Tzabar and Shnat Sherut connect Israeli Scouts with peers across North America, Europe, and beyond.

Mission
Our Mission & Values
At the heart of the movement is a belief in the power of young people to shape a better future. The Scouts educate for a democratic society grounded in Jewish values and a strong connection to Israel, while fostering equality, shared responsibility, and active citizenship.
As a non-partisan movement, the Scouts work to build a shared society where young people from diverse backgrounds can feel seen, valued, and equipped to make a difference. A shared society is not a given — it is built, day by day, through education and lived experience.
Leadership
Encouraging initiative, responsibility, and role-model behavior in everyday life.

Putting Values into Action
These values are not presented as theory. Tens of thousands of Scouts live them daily through activities, leadership roles, peer guidance, and local community initiatives. The educational model is built around doing, not only discussing.
Peer leadership begins early and grows through real responsibility.
Community action is part of the movement’s routine, not a special project.
Belonging, dialogue, and mutual respect are strengthened in mixed social settings.
Leadership is developed through practice, accountability, and teamwork.

Leadership Through Action
Leadership is practiced, not simulated.
One of the movement’s defining strengths is peer leadership. From a young age, Scouts are entrusted with guiding younger members, leading groups, and initiating projects. This builds confidence, independence, and responsibility.
The result is a generation that does not wait for change, but helps lead it. Many leaders in public service, education, civil society, and business describe their time in the Scouts as formative.
Real responsibility
Leadership roles are earned and experienced in real settings.
Peer-to-peer model
Young people learn by leading and by being led by older youth mentors.
Long-term effect
The movement shapes alumni who continue carrying values into society.

In this reality, the Hebrew Scouts Movement plays a critical role by providing stability, meaningful educational frameworks, resilience, and community across the country.
This is not only a moment of challenge. It is also a moment of opportunity.
The leaders shaped today will define Israeli society for years to come. This is where long-term partnership can create meaningful and lasting impact.
